1.3 distributor query, helpppp!!!!!!!

well guys

im in need off some help and advise please asap!! :cry:
im haven some issues trying to start my engine (GF engine code), i bought the car non running and it hadnt a distributor fitted, my dad found a distributor  an wev tried it to no joy but i then got a hold of a haynes manual and it states that according to my GF engine code i need a distributor with a part no. off ether 036905205G or 036905205C correct?  and the distributor i tried was 052905205Q?  

everything is working and in correct function, distributor is the only fing holding back the process,
can anyone shed some light on the whole situation?

052905205Q is a GT code dizzy, whatever that is! the numbers you have are correct for the GF dizzy though.

Id have thought it would still spark at least with the Q dizzy though, are you getting any?
