1.1 distributor shaft

Hi today i've been trying to replace the internal oil seal in my distributor, so far i've removed the drive and washers which was easy enough but completely stuck on how to remove the shaft so i can get to the oil seal, it rocks backwards and forwards a little but will not come out.

does anyone know how to get the shaft out of a small block bosch dizzy?
