MK1 Golf Snowdonia Road Trip photos/videos 26/04/09

Well today went well, even got a bit of sunburn again on the head  8O

Started off the day with  7 Mk1's…..36thCrazyFist with Whatalotoffun, Me, Oldspice, Marshy, Bert, Corkygolf and Corkycampaign, had breakfast in the clubhouse. Marshy looked like an early casualty with a petrol leak, but despair turned to relief when it turns out to be a very overfull tank ops: . So, off we set on a spirited drive to Horseshoe Pass, on arrival we met up with Paul_C, Vegas and GtiMad, we had another drink of coffee and a natter and photos, then Bert, and the Corky's returned to West Midlands, leaving 7 Mk1's to head off from a windswept Horseshoe Pass into deepest Wales.
Off we set 5 tin tops and 2 Cabbies towards Betws-Y-Coed, we had the briefest of spots of rain enroute and the Cabbies stopped to put the hoods up, but as soon as they did that, the sun came back out    and then the Sun stayed out for the whole day  8)  8) .  
At Betws-Y-Coed we met up with Del, Dubmad and GazzBangor then had another natter, then off we went towards Llanberis Pass……and what a fantastic backdrop that road/place is  :cheer:  :cheer: ….once there we stopped again for toilet break and a natter, then agreed we were hungry, so Del took the lead of the 10 Mk1's from GtiMad and took us to the beach :y: , where out came the 3 bbq's and Oldspice became Chef Tony :dance:  :dance:  and fed the hungry masses and I came into my element of making tea :mrgreen:

I cant believe me and ans4r missed this .It looks like it was a great drive and a great day.
But i'll definetly be going to the next one and hopefully by then i'll have my own MK1.

Hi Guys, First of all I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for making us Myself, Natty (Missus), Little Harley (Son) & Mellie (Missus Sister) so very welcome for our 1st meet with the MK1 club members that attended. As a result my membership has now been paid in full, and I am sure there will be plenty of donations coming from us to keep up the good work from all involved in the MK1 Owners Website. I was a little dissapointed not seeing many MK1 owners from the North Wales area but this did not spoil our excellent day/meet one bit. This is something Im sure we can work on by maybe arranging a monthly meet somewhere central to us all (Bit of a bar meal and a natter) ???????
