Weitec coilovers any good??
Hi, just in the mits of buying some new suspension going for coilovers and i have heard a few good things said about the weitec ones? I was just wondering if anyone could back these up? i.e how good quality are they? what do they ride like/handling etc.. thanks for the help in advance Rich.

Nothing to compare it against (except the old, original suspension) but yes, they're good.

It was ages ago, it was the basic coilovers with no damping adjustment. I can't remember the model number now. It was a happy accident - I wanted FK coilovers after positive reviews, ordered them from a supplier but they were out of stock and they offered Weitec as an alternate.

PS I just searched around on eBay for the cheapest supplier of the particular brand/model I was after. After all, its a sealed boxed item, the supplier doesn't make a big difference except for the price.

I ran them on my VR6. Not bad, they are made by one of the bigger brands anyhow, dunno if its KW or FK.
They were much more pleasant than the supersport things I had on my Mk3 GTI. they were harsh!
I run hottuning coils on my cab, cheap and cheerfull, not a bad ride, half the price. If you want comfort then coils aren't the best route.

Projekt Frustration :
White 1991 Clipper. Lowered over polished zender rims, Single 40 dellorto on lynx manifold, kent cam, full stainless 'zorst / manifold, powerflex bushed and braced. Not the fastest car, but sounds super nice!
Still going after 12 years… never said it was a quick fix! Time is not my friend.
