Tyres for P-slots

Anyone got views on the best tyres to wrap around my P-slots?

My motor has been sitting around in a garage for months before I bought it as the previous owner didn't get time to use it.  As a result I have one slow puncture and all the tyres have signs of cracking on the side walls.

The current tyres all have good tread but the side wall cracking concerns me.  So… two part question really:-

1) Is the side wall cracking a sign that they are on their way out or is it cosmetic?

2) What tyres would you recommend for best performance and value?

if there perishing,i would replace them for safety,firestones are a good tyre,ive always had them,185/60x14

I just saw on fifth gear that firestones are being taken to court because the tyre materials solit from each other on their 4x4's and became seriously unsafe  8O  8O  :dontknow:

that was a long time back mate. and only in the states and strangly only on the ford explorer.
alot of it was down to over loading of the tyre and ford recommending the incorrect tyre pressures.
and the dump ass yanks who bought them (not all yanks are dumb) and didn't bother with checking them etc.

The pirelli's on the front are less than a year and a half old, the yoko's on the back are ancient so change em!!

The tyres are cracking on the side wall so they aren't safe.  I'll change all of them but thanks mate.

I run Lassa's on my P-slots, good grip in both wet and dry, wear fairly well and are cheap as chips.

I use Tyre Spot, who are north east based but, have always given me a good service and a good price.

Maybe but the full beam pointing down and in the middle of the road, indicator flashing too quick and sticking windscreen wiper (due to gunk on the spindle threads) surely weren't and it didn't even get any warnings?.. I'm not bothered though as it's mine now and they're minor fixes.

Sounds pretty good mate!!  Got to wait till I've stripped it now though due to funds  :cry: .
