top mount advise needed asap plz :)

hi…just a quick question,hopefuly some one can put my mind at rest…iv got a mk1 gti 1600..iv just got some new top mounts from gsf(after fitting new koni ajustables + ebiach springs 40mm) as is ripped old ones.
My question is are both top mounts the same (ie not sided) as the ones on the car look slightly different as passenger side sits a littlel higher as inner wing mounts seem 2 have a couple ov mm difference in them,i was wondering if the hight in the top mount made up for the any differance.
it might sound silly but i also hav a clipper n the mounts are the same as my 1600 (different on both sides) i was just wonedring if gsf are right n both my cars hav odd top mounts..or are they wrong i thought if any one would know some one on here would..many thx n i really appreaciate it
