suspension and brake move from a mk1 gti to mk1 cabrio gti

My hatachback mk1 gti has the disc conversion on the rear and has coilover suspension can i swap this over with my mk1 cabrio which has just standard lowered springs and rear drum brakes, will the standard brakes and suspension then fit onto my hatchback mk1?

I would think this would be an easy swop as the rear's are the same . You will have to do the hand brake cables and allow for the renewal of parts that are worn or rusted . The suspension will also need swopping at the front to match the coilovers up .

Long job all in and both cars would be off the road while you were doing it . Good luck …..
