Running 13's
I know alot of people run 13's with say 50 profile tyres, is it just me who suffers with it majorly running outta steam about 50 mph? Or does everyone just live with it for its cool looks?
Please someone answer the question!!!!! Lol

Try Googling "Tyre bible" - there is a very good (but very long) guide on wheels and tyres and it will explain why maybe its not such a great idea.

My old man is an old porsche kinda guy and won't stop telling me I need bigger tyres, I understand the reasoning behind why but IMO they don't suit my car as well as say 50's or 60's.
I about to put in a mk 2 16v engine and box, so 14's or 15's with lowpros would be alot closer to the original size, right?

Im changing to 50 profile and will just have to live with it. Mines a 1.1 as well!
Will be getting a formula 'e' box soon though which should put it back close to original hopefully.

From reading above, smaller rims = smaller speed, bigger rims must surely = bigger speed difference :dontknow: :dontknow:

Just found this… TYRE SIZE GUIDE
With this it says at 60 my standard tyres of 175/70/13 would show 60, but 195/50/15 will show 60.1 MPH
Worth using that guide, will answer everyones questions…

I now understand that, but I don't want big tyresIs there a website I can use to calculate what size the wheel and tyre package will work out at? As much as I don't want to I think I'm gonna have to look into 14's or 15's but this makes me

Simple site i have used for a few years, no apple or java required just enter the tyre size you have and then the size you want, all info is displayed.
