Ronal Ls Rims

Hi i want to buy some ronal Ls rims, but i dont know the affect they will do on my handling. As they only come as 15x7.5 which i guess is pretty wide? I was thinking to get some Toyo T1 proxo tires on them. Does anyone know the effects this would have on the car? such as poorer handling? And tyre ware.

Wider wheels dont generally improve the handling but at 7.5 wide they are only half inch wider than the common 7 inch which lots of owners including me fit, only thing to be wary of is at the front depending on the et and ride height they may get intimate with the arch.

Thanks but what are the standard demensions on rims for a mk1 golf? And what is the best tyres to have?

5 1/2 x 13 or 6x 14 and i think some of the later cabbys may use a 6 x 15, if you choose a  well known brand tyre like the one you mention you shouldnt go far wrong. these are gti spec sizes i should say.

ET on these is 25, unless seriously low you wont have any problems with arches - Chudd on here was running them a while back - do a search and you should find some pics

so if the ride height isnt too low, i shouldnt get to much ware on my tires =] ??

mine was running these, 7.5x15" et 25 195-45-15 rubber will be up for sale soon, as my car is going thro a change lol

You wont get any wear if you dont go too low and get 45 profile tyres

what if i got 195-50-15 will they be okay too ?

Thanks alot you guys =] and yes i have had a look at your ronal rims, there just too far really tho mate, and i have found a good bargain on wheels with tyres package =]

ok no worries mate, prefer collection tbh but would consider courier LOL

I'm very sorry to dig this out but but I'm taking a serious look at these wheels on 15/7.5 and ET25. On a Cabriolet without Clipper kit but with gti guards on the fenders, will these stick out?!

Right now i'm using 14" 6J and ET38 but don't know for sure how much space I have left.
