Remove inner CV joint.....Help!!

Hi. Does anyone know what size spline tool I need to undo the inner Lefthand CV joint? The car is a mk1 Cabriolet 1985 1600GL. I have a metric torx set but T40 is too small  and T45 is too big, Is it imperial size I need and not metric torx? Help!!!  :dontknow:

Is that a six point socket or a twelve point.  I have not seen a car like yours, but my GTI uses something like an 8mm triple square.

I think it is a 12 point, the same as yours or an 8mm spline as some call it. You have confirmed what I thought so I will get myself some new tools now.
