mk1 brake upgrade corsa turbo brakes?

hi been told some vauxhall brakes fit mk1 golfs, is this true? looking for bigger brakes ideally and was told corsa turbo/senator/omega etc...fit. any ideas? thanks

I've got vectra calipers on mine with 280mm G60 disc but you need shoulder bolts to fit them.

Beware - there's at least 3 different types of caliper 'out there' that fit, and more that don't - so do your research carefully. A search should reveal the right info, or did they move it to the FAQ?

Also bear in mind that the calipers you're after are also "upgrade" parts for lesser Vauxhalls, so there is demand out there, don't assume you'll walk into a breaker's yard and a) find them or b) pay buttons for them.

Its still cheaper than other VW brake upgrades though.

vx upgrade so much cheaper 40 quid in most breakers may get them cheaper, i have just put vectra gsi ones on my mk1 however as i have just dicovered my 15in ats cups wont fit over them,

Also reference the bolts you can still use your mk1 bolts but pop down toB and Q and get some 12mm steel tubing cut it to length and hey presto jobs a good en.

thx for the replies, ive been offered cavalier 2000 gsi ones, will they fit? and do i only need calipers and carriers?
