Lost my locking wheel nut key, idiot!
In my haste to take the golf out on its first proper outing since owning it I forgot to take the locking wheel nut key back off the nut after doing the hand brake cable!
Its long gone now.
Anyway can anyone help me out with the manufacturer or some advice on removing them!
Its the type with the four round pins that go into four round holes in the bolt.
If anyone has the same please could you tell me the manufacturer so i could get in touch to attempt to get a new one!
Cheers

get a set of bi-hexagonal sockets and hammer a slightly undersized one over the top of the locking wheel nut and hey presto they will crack off

Either that, or buy a "locking wheel nut removal socket" - they have an anti clockwise thread cut inside the socket and are meant for use with air wrenches, but I managed OK with a lump hammer and an impact driver ...subtle innit!

I would go with the locking nut removal tool. If the wheels have not been tightened with a torque wrench then it will still be hard to remove without a locking wheel removsl tool. (available from a well known internet auction website about ?15)

you could also try one of those sockets sold by ppl like JML with all the pins inside that are supposed to fit all nuts of any size. I know a mechanic who swears by this method.
Touch my car …………………. feel my wheels
