Left hand thread or Right hand?
Another question for those in the know. I need to take out the nearside driveshaft and as yet cannot budge the hub nut
Want to know is it one of those silly left hand threads or not? At least then I will know which way to undo it!
Cheers.

rh thread on both sides.supposed to be done up to a rediculous torque so it is gonna take some getting of. i use a decent make(britool) knuckle bar and a six foot bar!

8O That's why I can't budge it!! At least I tried it the correct way. Thanks for the tip. The hub nut is 30mm isn't it or is it a silly imperial size?animal said

Put a regular breaker bar on the hub nut (30mm), and lift the handle end with the jack. That will loosen it.

My god that was tight!! 8O After trying standing on it, jacking it up and a trusty old hammer, I finally managed to undo it using a 30mm socket, breaker bar and an 8 foot scaffold pole over the top for leverage. That made it move! So that seems to be the answer.
Cheers.
