is the camber on a 87 git cabby ajustable???

if so how ??? is there a blog on here about it.. and does it take long to do.. and it distorying my tires lol..

Yes its adjustable, so long as the bolts aren't seized. Its a case of follow your nose, the top bolt in the strut is eccentric so you'd measure it, make an adjustment, and re-measure. Repeat if needs be.

Once you've done the camber you'll need to check/reset the tracking. Originally Golfs came with 1 adjustable and 1 fixed track rod, but replacements are always supplied as adjustables, so yours might now have 2. You loosen off both nuts (one is reverse threaded), turn the track rod to make it shorter or longer between the track rod end and the rack, then retighten.

You'll need a camber gauge and a tracking gauge, which aren't that costly but might want to simply leave it to a garage?

nice one… i thik i under stand just trying to find an drawing or somethink of the front struts to make sure what is what before i do it.. im gunna try take it to a garage tomoz to get it sorted but may end up doing it for myself cus i dont want to pay out loads for it as money is a bit short at the mo.. im after a haynes type manaul for it but as its a 87 gti cabby they dont seem to be easy to find lol..
