Interchangeable Parts

Hi,

im wondering what parts are interchangeable between the soft and hard top variants (mainly coilovers & seats) i would have thought they would be the same been based upon the same car but possibly not?

Rears seats are different as cabbys are not as wide. front seats are interchangable but the later cabby seats from 1984 onwards have the handle that slides the seat back and forward on different side so need altering to make work.

engien and running gear is all interchangeable but bear in mind cabrio is heavier. the fuel tank on post-84 is bigger but you can use most of the fuel system still, but not exhaust (unless you cut off and reweld hangers)

front door cards swap over but not rears, carpets are the same as is dash. but cab uses a knee bar rather than undertrays. windscreen and front door glass is same too, as are side trim strips (to 3 door mk1 anyway)

Right o cheers guys that helps a lot, ive got a 91 clipper looking at old skooling it a bit. that gives me a good start.
