Inner CV joint cork gasket

Hi guys,

Just replacing (amongst a load of other things!) the inner CV joint on my GLS.  The replacement joint kit came with a cork gasket that wasn't present on the part I replaced (least not that I can see) so my question is, does it go between the cv joint and the g/box or between the cv joint and the boot cap?

I'd say between the bot cap and the joint matey to stop the grease coming out

goes between the flange and the c/v joint. liek you i have never seen these fitted to any of the cars i have worked on, so personally I'd not bother

Cheers gents.  I did a bit more research and I think you're right jonny.  I've fitted it anyway as it was there and I'd paid for it
