Silly question but has anyone else found problems with the hot tunning coilovers on there cabrio's? Fronts are brilliant just my back end is so stiff its not true!! Any ideas on how i can make it any softer? And clearance on the front end how have you over come this its on 13's at the min would bigger alloys make it any better?
how old are they, the original hot tuning coilies had raceland internals - very bouncy - now they have TA Technix which are as harsh…
All coilovers are bouncy tho, I have the hot tuning one son my passat and mk1, the passat is smooth as silk, but its a heavy old beast, and the mk1 now settled down is much bouncier, but not too harsh….
what clearance issue you having up front, tyres rubbing on springs or the arches??

Why do you think you see soo many 2nd hand sets floating around? It really isn't a one off, people buy then and realise how bad they are and after a short time they ebay them due to the shocking quality. Not many KW or FK sets appear within 6 months of use, but the non branded sets are always about.
My advice would be to take them off and either spend more on a proper set or get a 30mm lower boge kit from GSF.
Sorry no real easy solution.
