getting rid of wheel spacers
got a lurvly set of wheels and chucked them on with the supplied spacers (front) now fancy getting rid of spacers but will need to grind some off the calipers, any thoughts on how much I can grind without creating problems?

I wouldnt even go there if your thinking of being insured, if you do that and dont inform them and need them they are likely to just cancel your policy and say your not insured at time of accident.

Yeh calipers are that size for a reason dude so i wouldnt recomend any type of grinding, perhaps just go for a smaller size spacer?

is it definitely the calipers and not the carriers? mk1 calipers are tiny and almost never have issues. the later ones have huge carriers though with a big hoop over the front. easily solved, just fit early carriers from any 1.5-1.8 mk1.
