et42 alloys

Hi

Can anyone confirm if a set of 16x6.5 et42 bbs alloys will fit a 1983 mk1 gti. they are 5x100 so I know i'll need the correct pcd adaptors any idea what width, i don't have my arches rolled as i currently run a set of 15x6.5 bbs rm 012's

I would of thought the ET 42 would be fine, but when you get the adaptors on depending on the thickness of these it will take the ET down. So if you get adaptors 20mm thick then the ET will be more like ET 22.

Which then could cause rubbing issues on your arches depending on tyres you have fitted to them

am sure someone else should be able to confirm
