I succesfully cured my noisy 2nd gear by using Molyslip gear additive . Look on Google for the web site and stockists .

So i would say yes that certainly worked . Slick 50 i have never tried so would also be interested what people think about it ?

Cheers………

I used slick 50 on a 998 mini 16 years ago and it did improve mpg etc, but it doesn't seem as popular theese days :dontknow:

I recently used STP gearbox aditive on a Midget gearbox and it did smooth it down a little.

My opinion is use theese cures on worn components as a stop gap to proper repair, (they do make a difference but dont expect mircales!!!) but I always shy away from them on newly built kit and use a good quality lubricants.

thanks for the replies, its mainly a preventative measure than to cure a problem

If it's preventetive i wouldn't bother, I read somewhere that certain additves don't do bearings a pile of good in the long run, but can't remeber where :banghead:
