clipper suspension
hi-looking for some recommendations on some suspension units for a 89 clipper. has a set of jamex coilovers at the mo which are way to stiff. running 195/50R15. looking to spend upto £200 which i know will narrow my choice.

Maybe on that budget good shocks and mid range springs?

Hi, i have a 91 clipper i fitted AP shock and spring, paid about £300 but stiff understatment shacking my car to bits, just changed the springs to standard the ride is better but i think am going to put standard shocks back in as well . lee

If you want comfort then springs and coils rather than coilovers.
If you can live with standard ride height then replace with oem kit.
Basic laws of physics are that if you lower the car then the ride will suffer as it needs tohave better rebound to prevent bottoming out.
Other thing to bear in mind is that suspension kits are often bolted up to worn components such as top mounts….. Not going to aid ride quality!

Projekt Frustration :
White 1991 Clipper. Lowered over polished zender rims, Single 40 dellorto on lynx manifold, kent cam, full stainless 'zorst / manifold, powerflex bushed and braced. Not the fastest car, but sounds super nice!
Still going after 12 years… never said it was a quick fix! Time is not my friend.
