Brake upgrade option??
OK, Im tired of the wooden feeling brakes on my 88 cab.. I am due to change the fluid, lines and pads but I dont think that these are the true weak points! Is the master cylinder worth replacing?? if so, what would be a good option?? Or am I incorrect in my theory??

A popular upgrade is to fit the servo and master cylinder found in a mk2 16v. This is what I am intending to do myself. Apparently refurbishing the linkage between the pedal and the servo/cylinder and making sure there is no excess play in it can make a big difference too.
I havent actually done any of this myself yet, but its stuff I've read whilst planning my own project.

I've got the 256mm brakes and rear discs, Passat Servo and M/C (same as 16V but without the associated cost). It's got the best brakes I've ever had.
