bbs rs?

would 16x9j fit on my mrk 1 gti golf? or would it look to out of preportion?

As no-one's answered I might aswell offer my two-penneth. I think 16x9 is pushing it a bit! Some folk have put 9 inch wheels on the back (8's on the front), but the wheels are 13 or 14 inches, 16's generally too big for a mk1. I think you'd struggle with arch clearance at the very least and they'd probably look really daft.  :dontknow:

Ridiculous size for a mk1, apart from any clearance problems ever heard of unsprung weight, but its your car.

Why ? have you got these wheels. if you have try them on for size!!
maybe they look ok and maybe they will clear the wheel arches.
try them just for your satisfaction mate .
