Advice needed

Need to work out how the orange bit stays on the end of the speedo cable. Pic included

I believe there's a spring circlip which goes onto the end of the speedo cable, and means the cog stays on but can be pulled off quite easily (once out of the gearbox).

It looks like you're missing the rubber fittings on the bracket of the gearbox, which the clutch cable goes through and the flat circular part sits on. Still available from VW. Also, worth checking you have the proper rubber block and metal fittings at the bottom of the clutch lever too.
