8jx15 up front on a Mk1?

I've got a lovely set of compomotive th's for my Mk1 G60 which is nearly ready but they're a really tight fit even with the archers rolled right up and pulled as much as I'm brave enough to?
They et20 and i'm thinking if I can get them machined down to push them in a bit more but thought I'd ask on here first to see if anyone's fitted 8's and how well it went?
