7x15" wheels and lowering?
On a standard mk1 golf can you fit 7x15 wheels and lower the car without the tyres scraping the arches, and what would be the possible springs and tyres to use for this job? would it need stretched 6" tyres?
Thanks,
Fraser

Well that's a +1 on this mate, all very confusing and I don't fancy buying all the stuff only to find I have to cut my arches about.

should be ok depending on how much you plan on lowering it and what offset the wheels are
personally i would go with 195/45/15 tyres

THanks for the help mate, these wheels, couldn't tell you the offset but they're not a dished alloy so hopefully ok?

And would be running -40mm springs, thanks for the tyre advice I'll research those now
