VW Expo - 26 June - Hop Farm

For those of us in Kent, Sussex, London etc……………….

VW Expo - Main details

As you can see, if you arrive in a VW you get in cheaper (can't remember having to pay anything last year !?!), we were directed to park in the main field, (but not in the actual show area).

It's organised and run by

Association of British VW Clubs (worth a look as they have some interesting stuff - check out the VW VIN decoder………….

I have contacted them, and am waiting for their Treasurer to get back to see if we could get a Club stand - for non-members (us) of the ABVWC it would be ?25, for members it's free, but of course there are membership fees which usually go by the number of members - rather difficult in our case as we are web based at present, and have no 'funds' as yet. I have explained our position to Jackie, who advised me to contact the Treasurer (Barry Shelton), who is away at the mo.
We will be going anyway, it's a good day out, but also an excellent opportunity for us to 'fly the flag' - (must try to make up a suitable flag to put on the pole to attach to my tow bar!!).
I will also be putting 'calling cards' on Mk1 windscreens (Drew - did you get my pm??)

We'll be there in the Clipper………and plenty of 'visiting cards' to hand out and stick on windscreens.

Left the idea of a stand till we are fully up and running, and IF we join the Association.

I'm a little confused from the event details as it quotes entrance only for Saturday……………..is Saturday or Sunday or both
