VW Elemental April 12th Stansted Essex.

Open invitation to have a Mk1 golf stand at the show.  A sucessful event last year with plenty of cars and we were runners up to the best stand in the show, we'll win it this year :wink:   More the merrier, no real limit on numbers so post up if you want to come   ?4 to get in, plenty on all day and night with camping over if you like.

VWs @ Stansted is in it's third exciting year. The show is being held at The Mountfitchet Mathematics and Computing College, Stansted, Essex. CM24 8TZ (Formerly known as Mountfitchet High School). The College is 5 minutes from Stansted Airport. It aims to be a fun-filled family orientated day in a relaxed, chilled out atmosphere.

The show this year will follow the same format as last year with the show itself on the Saturday and the camping on the Saturday evening. This enables people to stay into the evening and not worry about having to drive home afterwards!

We are also currently auditioning some great bands for the Saturday evening.

The Show is promising to be even better than last year - I know that is hard to believe but thanks to our title sponsors Herts Insurance we hope to provide a lot more stuff whilst maintaining the atmosphere of the show. We have already agreed to have mini rc car racing on a Bonzer Gear track. The RC cars will be VW based. We will be holding a competition to see who can do the fastest lap and the winner will walk away with a complete Bonzer Gear track in a bag.

If you wish your car to be included in the show n shine you need to be on site by 10:30 a.m. on Saturday as after that there must be no show car movement around the site. If you arrive after this time you will be directed to the public car park.

defo up for this one, crackin day last year and been waitin all this time for it to come around again, get yours cars shining guys and gals because there was some beauts there last year, and ew is right this year the mk1 owners club deserves a trophy for this one  8)  8)  8)

Have fun guys n gals wont be able to make it and im really gutted, but will be in hotter climates by then    !!! So make sure you all take plenty of pics and post them on here !! Plus you had better win Best Club Stand, this year !!!!!

me andy me me me me, sorry to hear you wont be there, can you do a full size cardboard cut out of your golf for the show and i will polish it for you and include it in the pics

I know Stortford well, I'm in Takeley.

You'll be able to join us on the club stand at St Mary's in September as well  

Fill out your details, state the club and if you're camping

Add the money - ?4 per person, ?6 to camp Sat night (if you book in advance ?10 if you pay on the day)

Then post it to us or drop it in at the school reception, sit back and wait for the day so you can get your free bacon butty!!!!

Know of a young lad restoring a MK1 down the road, and I've spotted a silver cabby on a drive on the old A120 past the Green Man on the way to Stortford.

i jus took my golf ova to the garage (auto magination) for him to have a look at, been usin them for a while for my 205gti
