trying to get a north east meet off the ground!

this is a continuation of a previous thread but it was gettin a bit long winded so thought i'd start this.

a few of us are thinkin dalton park just off the a19 would be a good idea as it's not too far for people from middlesborough and hull (bout an hour or so) and a bit less than that if your from the far side of newcastle or northumberland so it's kinda central.

i bought my mk1 off ebay about 2weeks ago (if your an ebayer and look at mk1s alot mine was the one with the 2 ft tinkerbell on the bonnet and flames on the side) don't worry the tinkerbell has went the journey along with most of the bonnet paint…. anyhoo, north east meet! GREAT IDEA. COUNT ME IN!

that makes 5. there was a thead bout that 1 with the tinkerbell on this site lol. i think it was just down the road from me although i never saw it it was in washington i? i'm just up the road in penshaw.

Just set a date and time if only five show then its a good start imo.

i know it wouldn't strictly be a mk1 meet but there is a vw meet at the baltic on the last sunday of every month
its organised by section 5 and there are usually quite a few club lupo members turn up

I know it's a bit far to travel but why not pop along to the next buxton mega meet. If you did we could easily beat how many cars we had last time :dontknow: It's on the 29th of june :mrgreen:

you should try demonvw.co.uk or vw cult they're both in hull and have meets
in fact the cover car in golf+ next month is devo's from demon and that is a sweet mk1  8)

i have been to a few of the meets at the baltic just think it would be good to get our own regional meet going rather than hi-jacking another forums meet? must say though lst time me and my mate went to the section-5 meet they were all rather impressed with the mk1s heres a little piccy from last time we were there………
