plymouth volksfest 22nd may

Is anyone planning on going to Plymouth volksfest? or is there going to be a club stand? Ill be camping all weekend. www.plymouthvolksfest.co.uk

Is there really no other mk1s going?

have just checked my shifts and i am off from sat onwards so will be down sat morning  

ive got a couple of mates goning so there should be some mk1 turnout the more the better.

im surprised that on one else has shouted they might attend as we have had within the last few weeks
folk from down this neck of the woods asking about meets in the South West, The Mk1 Golf Owners Club
looks like it would be a good place to get together.

come on guys if you need help getting something going just pm me and i will help as much as i can, its my job

I just need a member who is local and who wants to pick things up and run with it

the main problem is the size of this region its prob one of the largest but im sure some of you will be prepared to travel i have seen that the Devon crew don't seem to travel to Cornwall compromise may be needed here, somewhere on the boarder? the thing i have found is if you want to meet you will travel I don't think night meets are a real option here due to size so looks like a good quality well planed weekend ( Sunday) meet is the best option to tempt folk to drive a distance. so get your thinking caps on and start suggesting where you could meet throw it in the pot and see what comes out, you have down there some of the finest roads to drive along wish I lived down there  8)

Plymouth Volksfest would be a great place for a southwest meet i too am surprised there isnt more interest it would be great to get a load of mk1's camping. I would be happy to help out to try and get this off the ground but im only one person ideally we could do with someone from Cornwall to get things moving down that end. Ive not been to this event myself but people ive talked to have all said its been good,this event replaces run to the sun for the v dub scene.

Just giving this one a bump. If there is a good number who would be up for a meet :dontknow:  Like i said befor ill be camping would be good to camp with a group of mk1's.

Theres SWdubs going, DKM and a few other clubs im part of, there will be some more mk1s there dont worry, its just that no one usually posts on here, as this isnt dedicated local forums.

i live about 3 secs away from it, i have mates coming from all over coming down and camping.

if you see this car give me a shout….

Hi Simon here is a pic of mine I should be camping for the weekend. I dont know if this means anything to you but i had a new carpet fitted a few weeks ago and the chap that did it said his Son had a mk1. I was just thinking maybe its you as im sure he said you were putting red wheels on :dontknow: Mike

when i went round my dads a few weeks ago i think it was he told me strait away about that, yep hes a carpet fitter.
he mentioned he spoke to someone about it
