NWM9

I've had a couple of people PM'ing me (since my name is on the bottom of the regional page) about meets, so how about firming up a date for our next meet? DjEv suggested we revert to Thursday evenings, now that the clocks have changed and its a bit lighter; or people may wish to stick to the Sundays. What does everyone think?

Also, how are we looking for dates? Since the NWM/SWM meet is postponed slightly, Sunday 7th May is now free? Does anyone know which shows, etc are around the start/middle of May, so we can find a date which doesn't clash with anything??

For the newcomers, the regular meeting place is the Wiggin Tree pub, on the top of Parbold hill (A5209), which is off J27 of the M6.

For info, the last meet's total car count was 11, although not all at the same time!

For me Sunday 23rd April or 7th May are good for me.

Bodelwyddan Castle is on 21/5/06 so quite a few people will be going to that.

I only have every other Thursday off so I don't mind either way really but I think we should make a meet in April just to keep up the momentum.

Thursdays are no good for me i`m afraid    It`s just too far to go after a hard day grafting.

Okay, Sunday 30th April or Sunday 7th May??? We'll try to firm it up a couple of weeks in advance, then people can put it into their diaries.

How about the 30th cause that way we'll get one in this month and then have All Types for a ride out on the 21st next month?

We need to try and get a 'fixed' date for these meets. Say second Sunday in the month? That way we don't need to keep hunting around for dates that are free, everyone knows when and where it is and its much easier to plan ahead (for me its time off work).

The Club GTI meet that some of us went up to meets every first Sunday in the month so the second Sunday may bag us more attendees. The meets for them never need that much organising cause everyone knows what the score is.

My vote is to pick a Sunday (or whenever) and stick to it.  :posh:

i was hoping that i would be able to finally pop along to one of these local meets, but my car still is broken atm.  

Damn!  :evil:

 That date clashes with the Stamford Hall meet , which i have already pencilled in.
 So i`ll have to gracefully bow out….

 (this could become a hassle now the show season is cranking up, as most weekend will have some show or other on)


 so i`ll take a raincheck, and see when the next date crops up…

Hi guys and gals, sorry to join in this one a little late! I agree on the date being set as every 2nd whatever of the month and stick to it! Then eventually everyone will know and if they are doing nothing could pop over and people should be there! Maybe we should arrange some meets however at certain shows? eg All types….

Well I agreed to the 30th and didn't check my rota properly and I'm working that day!!!

we are down to the bare bones for staff if I take the day off but I MAY be able to swing it yet!!! Havent missed a meet as of yet so I'll be disappointed if I have to.
