NW Meet: Unphased( thursday 17th Feb)

Dano was just setting off in his cabby when i phone him to remind him I was bringing the club banners and 6 chairs for the club stand at the classic car show at the NEC,
thats the reason we where Mk1'less on the night as sometmes the running of the club has to come 1st :wink:

good turn out and good to see the lads again

Should be able to come along on 18th…when's best to turn up?

around 7.. turn right and go up to the carpark under lights as you turn off the main roads.  be good to meet up

Hi matey, welcome to the forum, mk1dcky may know more about meets in your area..   :dontknow:

on the 3rd Thursday. we piggyback on a meet called unphased..


there is usually a few mk1's + other golfs as well as other vag stuff corrado's, polo's, lupo's, it usually packed in the summer months. do a search for unphased and you will find pics of previous meets I have taken pics at

It'll be over an hours drive for you  (70 mile), but your are more than welcome to come and join us

on another note,  anyone up for a run to the cumbria vag meet Sunday 12th December 2pm there.. not checked with the missus yet, just trying find out who would be up for an afternoon out..  its about 45 mins drive from B&Q Bamber bridge

anyone know when the next meet is, im from the wirral but preston isnt tht far away, infact my nan lives in leyland, just think my golf would over heat or soomethin

Get yourself on the run to the cumbria vag meet its at Milnthorpe there for 2pm so run set off at 1 ish from Preston.

thats the thing though im not too sure its that good on distances just yet like

Yeh understand your concerns,I always do plenty of runnin round local with a motor I am unfamiliar with before longer ventures.Always good to let it get up to temp and hear the fan kick in as well.Parked at home is better than stuck in a jam somewhwere then to find out it aint working.
Oh and if your still running the 1.1 engine in yours so am I so dont feel inferior . :wink:  

haha yeah small block, my fan doesnt kick in, it needs lookin at, AGAIN!
