Kent Meet

Looks like enough of us have crawled out of the wood work now and we have the beginnings of a Kent meet. Most of us sound like we're in the East Kent region, so far I've heard…

Kingsnorth (me!)
Maidstone
Bexley (Nr. London?)
Folkestone
Sittingbourne
Gravesend
Isle of Sheppey

Some where between Maidstone, Sittingbourne or Ashford would seem to be about central, Lenham has some nice pubs for example and is near to the motorway.

Any thoughts?

sounds good to me mate, although mines not driveable just yet! not far off but needs a dreaded MOT  8O

Farhningham has a great pub and location (near brands hatch) ideal for a meet i know their is a ferrai club that also meets up their!!! as it is close to brands hatch you regulary get rare classic cars like the metro 6R4 8O  i saw their a while ago. They have a great selection of larger and ale for you older lot    and the food is top notch, great setting with lake etc..

Either sounds good to me, but Lenham is nearer  

I'd recommend a pub on the Isle of Sheppey, but I doubt many people would fancy the hassle of trying to get on and off the island at the moment.  Perhaps when the sun is shining and the bridge is finished it'll be a different matter!

Alternatively, a few of us 'aircooled types' meet at the Hungry Fox Pub (nr Hempstead Valley), once a month.  It's got a fairly large carpark, good choice of drinks, and the foods not bad from what I'm told.

I'm not worried about the location, I'm 5 mins drive from the M2, and 10 mins drive from the M20 so pratically anywhere in kent is within easy reach.

Lenham seems to be a fairly central location, and I know there are some nice pubs there. Only thing is I don't know any of them!! Might be an excuse to drive the MK1 down there and have a look

There is a nice pub just outside of sittingbourne called the Sun at breadgar. Little bit pricey, but got a reasonable car park for us to all park in, and a nice garden.

You could always pop through the tunnel and join us essex boys and girls for SXM1 on the 20th, that would be  8)

Dojodubber , is that the pub by the vauxhall garage , used to be a harvester and near the wednesday biker meet ??? The moat at wrotham heath has re-opend now , alot of all type dubbers used to meet there on the 1st wednesday of every month .
