come on, saw a few of you back in Dec were trying to sort one out, anyone still interested. :dontknow:

Yeah, I'm still definately interested. The meet almost happened too, not sure why it didn't in the end. I couldn't make the date suggested as I was away skiing.

Where abouts are you Daisy? I'm near Barnstaple, Devon.

I'm still up for it as well.

Think the last tiume it didn't happen as we couldn;t agree on a central meeting place  :roll:

IM FROM BRISTOL, AND JUST SPENT ALL WINTER ON MY MK1 CABRIO, FULL RE-SPRAY (SAME COLOUR) SMALL CHROME BUMPERS AND TRIMS, G60 STEELS, FULL RE-TRIM IN TAN LEATHER AND MATCHING COLOUR ROOF, ETC,  

A FEW OF MY FRIENDS ARE MK1 OWNERS, BUT THINK A SOUTHWEST MEET ONCE A MONTH WOULD BE GREAT, THERE ARE SO MANY UP NORTH, JUST THINK WE SHOULD START ONE.

SOME PLACE ON THE M5 COULD BE OK, I DONT REALLY MIND, LETS JUST DO IT. :wink:

SORRY TO KEEP ON, BUT COME ON GUY GIVE ME SOME DATES AND PLACES WE CAN HAVE A VOTE. :scratch:

How about Taunton?, its just off the M5 so easy access for people, weekends would be the best for people I would think.

Right, me thougths for twhat it's worth…..

Taunton or Wellington are btoh good places for Club meets. Probably both are easy to get to and places are easy to find.

Taunton has a few pubs right off thw motorway, and Wellington which is more central for most people who showed interest in a meet last time, has a very nice pub a few miles off the motorway. We used to hold a Club GTI meet in the pub at wellington a few years ago, and they were very accomodating.

I think we definately need to agree a place, and to me Taunton or Wellington seem the logical places.

I am quite happy if we can all agree to a location to sort out a venue and clear it with the owners that we can "invade" for a few hours !! . Would need to be one either Tauotn or Wellington though as I know a few places that I can approach.

Looks like my thoughts has confused everyone ?!?!?!?!

Are we any close to a meet yet.Taunton has been suggested as i live in taunton i could suggest a couple of places within 2 mins of motorway junction blackbrook inn or hankridge arms both pubs with carparks.Who would be up for a meet in taunton?
