** THE NW CAR TREASURE HUNT 2009**

Failed MoT.
Rear brake stuck, washers decided not to work and emissions high, (new Weber not set up properly!)…
Not done anything to car since bought, so I guess I have a growing list…..nothing at all serious though…..Won't take long but too late for tomorrow…..
Would rather be in the Cabby rather than the 'daily d'.
Another one in the Spring maybe?? :dontknow:
Get down in the Passatt - you'll still get some points!!!!

B*gger - Sorry Andy, I'm a no show… fixing leak in A4's heater inlet water hose has turned into a saga - found my crankcase breather pipe was busted and have taken the whole front end off the car to get at it (under the inlet manifold plenum). Need to replace the rest of the hoses and refurbish the alternator while I can get at them so still awaiting the parts….should have spent today getting Elfie out of hibernation instead of more stripping down the A4!!!!!!!!

wrt to further events: Mark Woodward organises a few classic car shows which we could perhaps fly the flag (or banner even):
http://www.markwoodwardclassicevents.com/events.asp?id=1
Last year I took Elfie to a couple or three including the Leighton Hall show (12 July 2009) and the Lytham Hall show (at back of our house so dead local for me) on 9 August 2009….and also one at Fairhaven Lake at Ansdell (Lytham-St.Annes)
The cost for entries is ?2.50 for up to 2 adults/2 chicos per car in lieu of the normal ?6.00 admission for the punters and this includes a plaque as a memento of the occassion.
I have no prob in organising a club entry (collecting names , fees, etc) if some kind soul brings the banner
Cheers

Could be a couple or 3 to think about. Branching out from the 'normal' VW shows is what we're about this year. Woodvale is another that springs to mind.
