I take it we're not bothering with any xmas party gathering as is boringly usual

Doh! Maybe I need to pay a visit to specsavers!   Might be pushing it to get there for 7:30 after getting home from work but will give it a try

7:30 for 8:00 - if we know you're going to be there but a little late we can tell you what we ate when you get there!
