I just thought I would add to this section by sharing my only photo of my two cars together.

I have had the R for nearly two years now and it has a few extra performance mods.

What mods you done on the R?

I have Eibach pro spring kit
Superpro anti roll bars
Hi-Spec calipers and 360mm rotors on bells
Forge intercooler
VWR R600 airbox and filter
MST induction pipe and elbow
Milltek sport cat and down pipe
Custom map on 99 at 400 bhp and 430ftlb
OBDeleven tweaks on Haldex and a few other codings

I was going to go bigger turbo but bought the cabby instead

Wow, plenty of mods.

What's it like with 400hp? Is it much quicker?  I want to get ours mapped but the misses is dead set against it as she thinks it is fast enough.

Its like night and day. On winter tyres I have timed with Dragy at 3.5 to 60 with the DSG (also mapped)

I only had mine stock for 3 weeks and drove a stock R the other week.It did feel restrained after mine.

Get a pedal signal box on it and it will instantly feel livelier. I coded my friends to more responsive on the pedal but its not the same as a pedal box. I picked one up 2nd hand for £80. Mine is made by DTUK and they are well rated
