Jensen Interceptor

My Mk1 Golf Clipper is my daily driver but, because of both a job change and now being a proud dad, with great reluctance, she may have to go.

But I cant part with this!

I cant bear to part with her - when I knew I was gonna be a dad, the first "sensible" thing I did was to fit rear seat belts

Lovely though they are, they didn't, unlike the Golf, create a whole new genre of car though…

You can get a child's car seats to fit a lap belt, Britax do one as that's what use in the back of my car as I have a Mk1 golf cabriolet as a daily drive. You will need to put the rear facing car seat in the front as that does need a 3 point belt but when you get to the forward facing seat you can put the Britax seat in the back. I have the Britax Eclipse.

Beautiful car; I do love an interceptor (well, my son is called Jensen!).  They have rocketed in value over the last few years too

My 2 kids at a car show earlier this year, my son has now out grown his seat as he's a tall 3 year old, you can get 3 point seat belts but they are expensive and require welding/bolting on the rear wheel arch, check the link below…

Thanks for the words guys and the news that child seats can fit a Clipper is more than interesting. Whether I can justify keeping it as a daily driver remains to be seen but that news certainly helps…

I've noticed on mine that there are what might be mounting points at shoulder ish height in the back. there's a kind of 'indent' with a rubber bung in the middle…or am I barking up the wrong tree?

One of my favourite cars, my uncle has a Series 3 my dad restored for him back in 1991, owned since new.  He sold a house and put money on top to buy it back then  
It's been played with (Holley carbs, high compression and big cam, straight through exhaust) and sounds insane, but is now parked up in the garden and is nearly beyond saving.

Oooh, that's bad news! What a shame…
