mk1 golf gti 1981 restoration

hi i am starting a restoration on my mk1 golf i will be posting more picture up in the next couple of day

Just from one picture it looks quite solid - what's it like in reality?  How long has it been stored for and what are you going to do to it…. spill the beans another MK 1 being reborn can only be good news.

im going to do a full restoration. i will be welding front slam panel, innerwings and rear lower panel . apart from that the car is solid its been in the garage for 16years and was my dads but has given it to me as a project.

   Great first car mate. Was my first car too but I was already 19 by that time. Good luck with the build.

just welded new rear panels

still a bit of work to do on the rear panel

need to primer
