Turtles 20v tintop quattro

Hey people.
I will start from the begining. I found this nice looking mk1 for sale in january last year local to me.

It had a mk2 golf 1.8 driver engine fitted but had electric gremlins.
i swapped that out for a mk2 golf GTI engine i had laying about and smartened it up a bit and drove it round for the summer whilst on the look out for a nice donor TT

the paintwork looked like it had been rattle canned and wasnt keyed in properly on the edges so was flaking, id just sorted the paintwork when i found the perfect donor

Time for the long process of stripping both cars. Obviously the correct way to do it would be to label and categorise every part, nut and bolt.
aint nobody got time for that.





Cars stripped back, now i had to wait for the plasma cutter to come back from repair

Plasma cutter came back last week so had a few hour trimming the audi down.
next job is to cut the floor out the golf so i can see what else needs trimming to fit.

Now this looks very interesting to follow

Well for the last 2 days there has been a car in pieces on the ramp where the plug is for the plasma cutter wich is an inconvenience ðŸ~�
so ive just stripped all the ancilliaries off the audi engine and removed the transfer box now that my extra extra long 6mm socket arrived.

Thought whilst its out might aswell as give it an over haul and fit some forged rods for future plans.

Now then. Spent a couple of hour cutting on the golf tonight. Well im committed now. I hope my tape measure was right in the early stages or ive ruined my cars ðŸ~¢

had a little time spare and an off the back thought turned into an idea and i kinda like it


Hairyarse ðŸ~, no the baja was a customers, hes sold it since so dont know where its gone.

Must be nice to have time and tools to tackle the job
If I had the tools and the time I give it a bash   I done lot cut shunt jobs my time but must be 10 yr last done one
