Time to do some performance mods. Can anyone point me in the right direction for parts?

Hi all,

I've been a forum member and Mk1 (Cabby) owner for the last 12 years now.

I own a 1993 Cabriolet, 5 speed, with the 1.8lt injected engine. I want to improve performance - would better headers and cam-shaft be a good start for this? If so, would anyone recommend certain parts or brands?
