Iv been on here a little while now but don't usually post so i thought as I'm pretty far through my project now i might as well post up a bit about it.
Its going to be for the sunny weekend spirited drive with the odd track day in there too.
I got the car just over a year ago now from someone else on this site, some of you may have seen it about?
Here it is when i first got it

It didn't stay like this for long i started stripping it down straight away

The chassis was pretty clean no rust anywhere only problems were a few knocks its had at some point in life which turned out to be badly repaired

The rear corner had dent which was pulled out.
The front had been hit at some point bending it over to the drivers side but wasn't straightened out before a new front panel was put on.

After all the repairs were done it was time for primer and paint

Engine bay and inside boot done

Then the doors and shell followed i know some people are not keen on series 1 colours on 2s but I'm still having trouble finding a small rear light panel so it will be changed eventually
Had it sent up to my brothers body shop to be painted in his new booth

Hi Brad
Engine is mainly stock only thing done at the moment is a 4 branch, its also running the standard management but I'm swaying towards forced induction on it in the not too distant future.

The horrible task of sorting the wiring out!

This is pretty much how the engine stands now all up and running

Iv pretty much replaced everything in the bay now
Decided to fit callipers from an astra which are 256mm with mk2 disks, 9 inch servo and a seat cupra 24mm (i think) master cylinder seems to stop quite well.

This is the fuel system I'm running got half way through this and realised i could have done it a much easier way but oh well i think it looks good and people seem to think its NOS I'm running.
It consists of a facet red top feeding a 2 litre swirl pot which then feeds a cosworth fuel pump bit over the top i know!

Iv still got load more to put up but that is it for now.

Its a TA technix i also had the two halfs welded up just to make sure there was no risk of leaking from anywhere.

Also got these in the post ball joint extenders and tie rod flip kit.

Going to be interesting to see what difference they make
Went for the AP's to replace those horrible budget coily's was split between spending a bit more and getting GAZ/AVO but will see how they pan out I'm not bothered by harshness.

its and OMP bolt in cage its a complete nightmare to get in there but once in it fit snug, i also shortened it slightly where the front bolts to the back so
it now fits without having to cut the dash.

Started stripping down engine bay of old gearbox and other parts, as my gearbox was so bad its time for a 02a swap, the old 020 was just such hard work to change gear.
