Spent a few hours on the car this afternoon. Got the handbrake cables fitted and got the car back on all 4 wheels.

Then started on the gear selector by removing the old one which was arseache

New one to be fitted next week as it's going to take a bit of planning.

No pics as most of the work going on underneath the car so all boring stuff.

Hopefully a more interesting update next week. :)

No such thing as boring stuff mate, it's all good to know. I'm seriously thinking of fitting my 20V T to my project now so would like to know everything I can

Look forward to the next instalment.

Andy.

Hi, I have just read the whole thread, and has answered quite a few questions I had! Which has helped me to decided to do mine! Looks a lot of work but worth it! Stripping my mk4 donar tomorrow with ko4 etc already fitted. As my mk1 is ready and waiting for an engine! Unsure on which exhaust manifold to use due to it making a difference which down pipe can be used. Are you doing your wiring? Any input much appreciated!

downpipe is relative to the turbo used.

Trackslag states their down pipe for ko4 mk1 only fits if a relentless manifold is fitted due to it changes the position of the turbo slightly. Where as qpeng fits a standard manifold

Speak to Matt at Trackslag I am sure he can make something for a standard manifold up. I am running a relentless manifold as stated above.

Worth the money IMO for the trackslag pipe.
