My First Mk1, Updated and back after TWO years :) RE SPRAYED
rECENT PICS AND STORY ON LAST PAGES

Just got my first mk1 today we drove from stafford staffordshire to east sussex was 220miles, we set off this morning at 7 and it took us about 3hrs to get down there. We got there greated the guy and he was very nice, Its in good condition the rust patch here and there. But runs sweet as a nut. he wanted ?700 but we got it for ?575 which was quite good.
The journey back was good it crusied all the way back a 70 which i thought myself was good for a 1.3 i was expecting alot less. It did take us 4hrs to get back as we were going but slower.
The bad points are the indictators dont work, they dont "tick tock" just seem to stay on. with no lights showing either so need to sort that out.
The driver seat very un comfy the sspring sticks in your back.
I managed to get back on ?40 and its used bit more than 3/4
I will be getting pics up later on just thought id post thou.
Im going to use this post as my project page, when i put my alloys on, lower and then spray eventually etc .
So here the PICS
When i first saw the mk1, love a first sight :p

The Mk1 back at home after a 220mile drive.

Ill get pics of the engine lata on today.

I have had to get spacers for the front and order new wheel bolts that are longer. I Never new that they were illegal i had to have them ordered went looking round for ages.
Anyways i picked up a set of tyres from the guy at the scrappy for ?6 each and they nearly have full tread

Only because we are buying so much off him like??
Im getting my new engine and bolts tomorrow so ill get pics up asap.

But in my very honest opinion i personally don`t quite like them, what size tyre you got on them cos they look quite wide
but like i said as long as you like them thats what matters
