working on it :)
i am just planning to just get it back running for the minute, famous last words. Then go a deeper into it later.
any advice would be greatly appreciated as some things i will be doing first time so hear is the beauty i purchase a few weeks ago.
so i haven't worked out how to do the picture bit yet so they are where they are.
it needs a little love it was previously Helious Blue and has a fantastic new paint job but has a unique look. i kinda like it.
my plan is to get it running in a good way first. the engine runs sweet just needs brakes sorting shocks and and a new hood.
i have just done the gaskets and filters on the engine, sump, cam cover, including plugs and oil cooler.
i have some vauxhall calipers on order as the ones on atm have been painted together so i can't bleed the brakes. i will prob clean them up so they work later.
i have stripped the old holey hood with all it's gaffa tape off and it is getting a new one put on this weekend and then wheel bearings poss some other bits
has any one used this glue for the vinyl hood before. i was struggling to find something suitable for vinyl.
http://www.martrim.co.uk/catalogue/glues-and-adhesives.html
i have the high temp brush adhesive, it may be a bit over kill but gonna test it on the old hood.
i will add more photos later of the other bits i have done as i transfer them from my phone.
Thanks in advance for any help/info

Yeh the original helios blue would look cool. The paint atm is just a rattle can job if you can tell lol. I will have to do a bit of body work first, just because i have to it will bug me if i don't
I kinda like the look. I think the car and my cash flow will decide where it goes ha
I cant wait for the brakes are done so i can have a drive and be able to stop without getting brown trousers

i started with the engine as there was a bit of a leak. so i did the sump seal and cam cover gasket. put on new oil cooler and filter.
tried the fuel filter that came with the car but that and the air filter were the wrong one so i have them spare and will put them up for sale on here when i get chance.
so i got loads of fun stuff to do this weekend Top is ready to go one. and i am doing the gear linkages.
Heres a few pics from the bits i have done already.
stripped the inside so i could see what i was working with and was pleasently suprised looks in good nick. i have some insulation and sound deadening ready to go in.
the nut on this cover is the devils work. stupid thing. taken off cleaned up and painted i did the same with the cam cover. but didnt get a pic after. i will try get one at some point.
looks pretty clean in there so just painted the cover then put it back on.
got me some fancy new, well slightly used calipers from an astra gte. so i got to work stripping them down.
yeh they needed a little bit of a clean up. the guy said yea they are in working order. you'll be able to put them staright on ha haaa
so i stripped as much to metal as i could then sanded and wire brushed what i couldn't get to.
i have loads more pics but they were just the interesting one lol
if ice cube can wear socks with flip flops so can i any questions just ask i took loadsa pictures as well.
