Mk1 Caddy tdi

Hiya guys and girls,

Im new here and this is my first build thread so bare with me please. Im a level 3 apprentice about to qualify soon, i work for toyota but secretly love VW's This is my 1989 mk1 caddy i picked up in march, i bought a shell with the intentions of just putting a standard engine back in it but a friend of mine had a mk3 tdi (1Z) engine so i bought that and ended up getting myself into a right bloody project haha but im enjoying it so all is good

this is a picture of the bay when i bought it and the process iv gone though so far

Im going for this gray as my colour choice, its a new vw colour from the transporters and caddy vans, i like it alot!

now for the exciting bit…THE ENGINE

iv love to hear some feedback and to know if anyone on hear has a diesel tdi mk1??

but yeah here is some more pictures, iv re-build the engine and cleaned/painted as much as i can

never liked putting the collets on, so got the girlfriend to help BLOODY EGR!!!! Dont worry its getting blanked off
