You're a brave man, diving that deeply into a gear box. Nice work.
looks like it's all coming along nicely.
Have you got a link to the alternator and pulley you used by any chance?
Ian
The alternator is a big gamble. I've spoken to rubjonny about it and we recon that a signal can be taken for the revs with another toy i have to convert from 4pot to 6 pot cycle.
The pulley goes with the earlier 24v bracket that the alternator sits in. Again this was a hunch as I've seen other 24v mk1 owners use this rather than the later bracket which puts the alternator lower down the engine which i believe can cause issues with the front panel.
I'm planning to trial fit this Friday and will let you know how i get on. If the engine fits i will give you the numbers as don't want to lead you down the wrong path. Unfortunately I'm making it up as i go along ha ha. Looks alright though

Any ways got some paint on the old block today. I put some POR15 metal ready on to etch the surface then brushed on high temperature enamel.

Stung a bit, no pain no gain

I did one side holding on for dear life and then did the other and got complacent

She's getting there now. hoping to get some paint on in the next week
