Think that the same colour as mine?
I'm really undecided what wheels to run on mine, some Fuch windmills appeal but they are silly money

I like how it sits, bet you cant wait for the good weather to roll in!!
Is the hood in good shape? Sad you had to sell your newer car for the bathroom but at least it wasnt this little gem going aye!!
I wouldn't personally have the gold wheels HOWEVER; they make it different from the norm and therefore interesting. That's a compliment by the way as I'm an old fart.

The hood is really nice in the outside but looks like it needs some attention on the inside, it's a bit loose round the back so probably just needs re fitting properly. Certainly not a job for this weather tho!

Thanks for the kind comments! I was undecided on the wheels when I bought it as it came on the gold wheels, I was set on changing the colour but they have grown on me so they can stay for now. Just fitted matching stretched tyres to the back so looks better already.

Lol spend too long out in that weather and you end up with a snot moustache!! I'm going to try and brave the cold tomorrow… change the oil and oil filter on mine then take pics.
Plenty of advise here on hoods if you get stuck.
Keep the wheels mate as I say it makes it different and interesting

Repaint front grill in satin black is its looking tired
Repaint from chin spoiler in satin black as when the car was sprayed they sprayed the chin spoiler as well and it looks naff
Repaint the number plate plinth at the front in satin black as I bought a used one off ebay that turned put to be a very dark blue
Fit 2 good used headlamps from my stash as the originals are both cracked
And finally fit a new indicator unit as the original fell out on the way home from buying it and I drove over it!

They pull the hood into the concertina folds when you lower the hood.
Often cause is back pressure from the cover not being fitted when the hood is down.
If you’re considering a new hood give me a shout.

It's all floppy inside at the back so something's amiss

Painted the front grill and number plate plinth satin black
Fitted a pair of good headlights to replace the cracked originals and also a new indicator lens and housing as that was destroyed when it fell out and I ran over it!
Fitted matching 165 50 15 tyres on the back wheels as for some reason it had stretched tyres on the front but not on the back
Removed the red paint from the chin spoiler as it looked pants
Few pics before its retired again until spring:

Last week inbetween pretending to work from home I gave it its first clean since buying:
Full body clay
Body wiped down with tar remover
Megs paint cleaner applied
AG super resin polish next
Finished with AG extra gloss protection
Wheels got same as above before being sealed with poor boys wheel sealant and megs endurance on the tyres
Roof was wiped over with AG vinyl and rubber care and the body trims and black plastics dressed with AG bumper care
Then I whipped the seats out and wet vacd the carpets and left in the sun for a couple of days to dry fully before cleaning the seats with AG leather cleaner and did the dash and the rest of the inside with various AG interior products.
So pics:

Money spent in the wrong areas at times.
All the stuff underneath the hood often rots away but not many replace what’s needed.
After all it’s 30 years old.
Give me a shout when you’re ready for a new hood etc
