MY BLACK SPORTLINE PROJECT S3 4x4 TFSI CONVERSION
Well were do i start,I bought the car about a year ago after a looking for a long time for the right one. This one came up with a few minor bits needing doing but it was in great condition and loads of service history. So after buying it my plan was to put a 20v bam engine in it not for everyone i know!So i began my project and know i have started completely stripping the under neath and wheel arches to bare metal and now have re done it all in zinc primer and gravitex and m3 stone guard.I'am replacing every think underneath inc brakes, suspension, fuel system.i have converted to rear disc conversion inc mk4 calipers, goodridge hoses all round and up front 280mm front disc and porsche 4 pots up front and mk2 16v servo.i know its over kill lol.As for suspension all new parts inc eibach anti roll bars powerflex bushes all round new wishbones, steering rack.and not got the coilovers yet.For the body not doing to much only new BBS rims new tail lights, headlights.indicators for a fresh look and all new badges.also bought some BBS rs047 which i have had refurbed with new stainless lips. Also just had bought some pop 1/4 lights with green tint which i think look really nice.So here are a few pics not the best as its on axel stands at the moment while new parts being fitted.

I would love to go to the degree you are as I am a perfectionist that would like to do nearly everything that you are but I dont have the skills to do it, yet
It all looks superb but it needs updated so I can see the bay and servo etc

lol!!Yes mate the zinc plating came up really well it was a good place he told me if he dipped the to clean the rust off they would not be uniform when coated so he said have them blasted first made a big differents.and only cost £20.if you want send me some parts and i will have them coated as i will be going back there.Massbad69 said

Thanks for the offer, might get back to you
The prob that I have is I want to do everything and make everything look new and I have acheived plenty in my first year with no experience, advice or practical knowhow.
What I think will happen is that I will do as much as I can then over the years replace the things I have done with better, as in the brakes that I have changed, poss upgrade them with discs all round etc, who knows :dontknow:
Doing things myself is giving me more confidence to try other things that I have had to pay to get done before  therefore giving me more pennies to spend on parts
The one thing that I will never do through money and/or lack of skill is do the engine bay properly with everything out and refurb the lot
but you never know
Keep the updates coming as it all looks great and the more you get done the less I will have to do when its mine

Well 90% stripped the engine bay now.plan is to have it repainted to freshen things up.Also my aim is to get back to a rolling shell and complete the back end ie fuel system by crimbo.I think i will 20v bam engine it as well early next year.and keep the 8v enginge and refurb it.
