I bought this car from a friend last year. The car was already painted and had the BBS wheels on.
Unfortunately the mechanics was not as good at the looks. The car was running an 9A engine, KR head on bike carbs. This engine only lasted a few months, with the engine becoming louder and louder until it was at the point of no return.
The plan was to remove the engine and rebuild it but the cylinders are badly bore washed, and required lots of work.
I really did not want the car of the road this summer so I decided to fit an AGU and possibly rebuild the 9A in the background.
This is what the car looked like when I bought it. The body is in really good condition, which is a big plus for me as I hate bodywork. The colour is dynamitic grey with a tad more white.

No idea why the engine bay was unpainted and looked so rubbish.

I've been doing some more today, flywheel, clutch and box went on, and in the car it went.
Love it when a plan starts to come together.

Just mocking up the rad and intercooler ( I know it's the wrong way on the pic)

I've installed the new 100mm shafts, and made a start on the cooling.
The first intercooler I got, never worked out so I've got another and made a bracket to mount it to the rad.

I've blacked out the front of the intercooler to make less visible through the grill
I've also mocked up the intercooler pipe work the turbo side. I'm not going to keep the straight connectors, I'm going to get it welded and paint it black.
I've rooted the throttle cable using some plastic clips
I'm undecided about bonnet pins/latches. As the bonnet is carbon fiber a part of me thinks that they're required, but I don't like the look of them.

This was the result. Its painted black at the moment but I'm going to get it powder coated.
